EuroLeague standings: Panathinaikos drops after loss to Zalgiris

Panathinaikos suffered a loss to Zalgiris in Kaunas during the 11th round of the EuroLeague. The “greens” failed to stop Loni Walker at any point in the game, and with this defeat at Zalgirio Arena, they lost ground. Panathinaikos now has a 7-4 record, one win less than Olympiakos and Paris, and the Barcelona vs Bayern game is still pending.

Greeks improve their standing in the Euroleague

Panathinaikos and Olympiakos are gradually improving their position on the Euroleague table, thanks also to their wins at the start of another double week.

The Greens edged out visiting Zalgiris Kaunas in Athens with a 73-71 score in a very tight game that the Lithuanians very nearly snatched away from their hosts.

Anadolu Efes advance to Turkish Airlines EuroLeague final

Anadolu Efes defeated CSKA Moscow 89-86 on May 28 to qualify for the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague final at Lanxess Arena in Cologne, Germany.

The Istanbul club used a 25-15 run in the first quarter, hitting 5/6 from the three point line.

Anadolu Efes had a 71-55 lead going into the final quarter, but CSKA managed to comeback in the final frame.
