Balkan trips proved costly for Reds and Greens
Panathinaikos and Olympiakos suffered bad losses on the road on Friday and lost more ground in the Euroleague. In general the day saw all favorites suffer defeats.
The Greens went down 93-67 at Anadolu Efes in Turkey in one of their worst performances so far this season.

Reds and Greens bounce back in the Euroleague
Reds and Greens recovered from their losses in the Euroleague last week and started this double week with significant victories.
Panathinaikos fended off the mighty challenge of Barcelona to emerge victorious from the game in Athens with a 90-89 score on Tuesday.

Panathinaikos conquers Fener, as Reds lose at Bayern
Panathinaikos and Olympiakos had opposite results on the road on Friday in the Euroleague, two days before they face off for the Basket League in Piraeus. The Greek champion triumphed in Turkey over Fenerbahce, while Olympiakos slumped to a 2-3 record surrendering to Bayern Munich.
The return of rivalry: Panathinaikos vs. Real Madrid in Euroleague action
Panathinaikos (2-1) takes on Real Madrid (1-2) in the fourth round of the Euroleague. The last meeting between the two teams was on May 26, in the Euroleague final, where the Greek team triumphed with a 95-80 victory, making a historic comeback in Berlin. Panathinaikos had eliminated Fenerbahce in the semifinal, while Real Madrid defeated Olympiacos to reach the final.
Nunn renews PAO contract
In the wake of Panathinaikos' qualification on Tuesday to the Final Four of the Euroleague basketball championship in Berlin later in the month, the Athens club confirmed on Wednesday that the former Miami Heat guard Kendrick Nunn, who dazzled fans during the playoffs, has renewed his contract with until the end of the 2025-2026 season.

Bitter losses for Greens and Reds in Game 3
Both Greek teams in the Euroleague are on the brink of crashing out from the playoffs, as on Tuesday they suffered two-point defeats that put their opponents 2-1 up in the best-of-five series that lead to the Final Four.
Maccabi Tel Aviv is now within one win from eliminating Panathinaikos, after a contentious 85-83 win in Game 3.
