Russia informs Turkey, fires cruise missiles at Syria
Two Russian warships and a submarine in the Mediterranean have fired missiles at Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) targets in Syria, the defense ministry said on June 23.
It said that Turkish and Israeli military "were informed in a timely manner of the missile launches through communication channels," but it did not mention the United States.

The Black Sea Fleet's task force group operating in eastern Mediterranean Sea off Syria comprises 15 vessels, including two frigates and a submarine, accompanied by various landing and auxiliary ships, the Russian Navy says.
