Mitsotakis optimistic about EU top jobs deal

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis stated that three political "families" have agreed to propose Ursula von der Leyen for President of the European Commission, António Costa for President of the European Council, and Kaja Kallas for the position of High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs, upon his arrival at the European Council leaders summit in Brussels on Thursday.

Mitsotakis, other EU leaders to talk migration in Cairo Sunday

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, along with five more European leaders, will travel to Cairo Sunday.

The other leaders are European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides, Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer and the Prime Ministers of Belgium, Alexander De Croo, and Italy, Giorgia Meloni.

Ursula von der Leyen to visit Cairo with the Greek, Belgian and Italian PMs on March 17

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, along with the Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo and the Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni will visit Cairo on Sunday March 17, European Commission spokesperson Veerle Nuyts announced during a press briefing on Friday.

Mitsotakis to meet Scholz in Berlin on Tuesday

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will meet on Tuesday with Chancellor Olaf Scholz, German deputy government spokeswoman Christiane Hoffmann announced on Friday. 

According to Hoffmann, the agenda of the meeting includes bilateral and European policy issues and issues related to security policy. The talks will be followed by a joint press conference. 

Vucic to attend EPC summit in Granada on Thursday

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will attend a European Political Community summit in Granada on Thursday, the presidential press office announced in a statement.

Forty-seven heads of state and government as well as the presidents of the European Council, the European Commission and the European Parliament have been invited to the event.
