Accident over Aegean narrowly averted
An accident was narrowly averted on Friday after a Turkish F-16 fighter jet reportedly harassed a Greek Super Puma helicopter, according to reports that emerged on Saturday.
The incident occurred shortly before noon south of the eastern Aegean islet of Farmakonisi as the Super Puma conducted a search for a boat carrying illegal migrants.

Woman injured by rock on Mount Olympus
A 35-year-old woman was injured on her neck on Monday when a rock fell on her during a hiking trip near the peak of Mount Olympus.
According to the head of the Greek Rescue Team, Alexis Liamos, the woman, a Greek national, was taken to the "Apostolidis" mountain refuge.
A Super Puma helicopter is on its way to transfer her to hospital.

Amazing video of Super Puma rescue operation at Sea (video)
The Greek air-force released footage of a Super Puma helicopter lifting an injured member of a tanker sailing south of the island of Rhodes on Saturday. The video of the rescue operation shows the helicopter hovering over the deck of the ship and lowering a stretcher with a winch.
Mirage-2000 jet goes down near Skopelos
A Mirage-2000 fighter jet of the Hellenic Air-force went down during an exercise on Skopelos island. According to reports, the pilot ejected to safety. The accident took place as the plane was engaged in a military exercise with two other fighter jets of the 332 squadron at approximately 12.18am on Monday. The reasons for the accident are being attributed to mechanical failure.

Impressive rescue operation by Hellenic Airforce Super Puma (video)
The Hellenic Airforce released an impressive video showing a member of a Super Puma helicopter rescue team rappelling onto cruise ship “MEIN SCHIFF” to lift a German man in need of medical treatment. The ship was sailing 6 nautical miles south of the island of Samos in the Aegean Sea, when the captain issued a distress signal after a 55-year-old passenger fell ill.
Migrant goes missing off Rhodes
A Hellenic Navy vessel and a Super Puma helicopter were involved in the search for a missing migrant off the southeastern Aegean island of Rhodes over the weekend.
The man was reportedly on board a 30-meter boat along with another 63 undocumented migrants when they were spotted by a cargo ship. The man subsequently fell into the sea and went missing.
