(CNN)Mamma Mia! ABBA is getting the band back together.

Sweden's legendary disco group ABBA announced on April 27 that they have reunited to record two new songs, 35 years after their last single.

The year is 1974, the place is Brighton, England! The song "Waterloo" won the prestigious Eurovision Song Contest. This is the beginning of the Swedish ABBA group, which in the coming decades became one of the best-selling pop group in world history, ranking just behind the legendary British Beatles.

The US film production company Universal Pictures will soon start shooting the sequel to the hit 2008 American-British-Swedish film musical Mamma Mia! in Croatia, on the island of Vis.

The film, following a popular Broadway musical, featured Hollywood stars Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan, among others, singing along to hits from the 1970s Swedish legendary pop band Abba.

A sequel to the blockbuster film "Mamma Mia!" - featuring a starr-studded cast singing songs by chart-topping band ABBA - will be made in Croatia and not Greece due to money constraints, according to the UK's Daily Mail.

Ireland is still the most successful country in Eurovision history, though its glory days are long behind it. The Irish won the competition an impressive seven times between 1970 and 1996, including three years in a row in the 1990s. Their last victory was 21 years ago when Eimear Quinn was crowned the winner with the song “The Voice”.

It’s been seven years since Abba have been glimpsed at together as a group, but all that changed at the Tuesday opening of Mamma Mia! The Party – a new restaurant in Stockholm. The Swedish pop foursome whose music has survived the decades got together to endorse the cuisine they inspired.

We’ve heard a lot of remixes of Mamma Mia song originally performed by popular band ABBA. But, this version is one of the kind.

Students of the University of Auckland in New Zealand decided to produce a totally different version of the popular song.

One of the most popular worldwide shows, which has seen by more than 54 million people in 14 different languages, "Mamma Mia!," Judy Craymer's ingenious vision of staging the story-telling magic of ABBA's timeless songs with an enchanting tale of family and friendship unfolding on a Greek island paradise, will return to Istanbul on Sept. 29 at the Zorlu Performing Arts Center.
