The Larnaca abductor who kidnapped and drugged two school boys has been sentenced to 16 years in prison, with the criminal judges describing the case as unprecedented for Cyprus standards.

A prosecutor on the island of Syros on Tuesday charged two men with abduction, blackmail, dangerous bodily harm, forgery and illegal residence in the country over their alleged role in the kidnapping of a third individual in Sifnos last week.
