EU a priority, Community 1670 days behind schedule, Vucic tells Fabrizi

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with EU Mission Head in Belgrade Sem Fabrizi on Tuesday to discuss Serbia's EU path, the situation in the region, the rule of law and freedom of the media.

Vucic noted EU membership was Serbia's priority and that it would do all that was required to become a part of the European family.

Haradinaj to go to Brussels; dialogue won't resume soon - report

Kosovo Premier Ramush Haradinaj will visit Brussels next week, Beta reported on Tuesday.

According to the agency, he will attend a meeting of the Council for the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) between the EU and Kosovo - but there are no signs that the dialogue with between Belgrade and Pristina on normalizing relations might resume anytime soon.

Szijjarto: We will insist on Serbia opening five chapters

BELGRADE - Hungary will insist on Serbia opening five chapters in its EU accession talks this year as it would be a positive signal to Serbia on its European path, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto said at a meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in Belgrade on Friday.

Mid-October or mid-December possible date for opening of new chapters

BRUSSELS - Estonia, which holds the rotating EU presidency, is working on organising the opening of new chapters in Serbia's EU accession talks, with mid-October or mid-December as the possible date.

Brussels has not set a date for the next Serbia-EU intergovernmental conference and it remains unknown which chapters might be opened at that time.
