Culture and sports build Greek-Turkish bridges
An unexpected statement from the Turkish side last May supporting Greece's bid for the return of the Parthenon Sculptures pointed the way forward. Zeynep Boz, the head of the Turkish Culture Ministry's department for combating antiquities theft, confirmed that there is no such document as the firman cited by the British side to claim possession of the marble fragments taken by Lord Elgin.

The Greek and British sides appear to be on the verge of reaching an agreement on the return of the Parthenon Sculptures, according to a series of reports, including an analysis by The Economist, which foresees a resolution by 2025.
Artifact conservation in the spotlight at Acropolis Museum
The Acropolis Museum is set to participate in the 2024 European Days of Conservation-Restoration with a series of special workshop tours on October 17, 18 and 20.
