Russell Crowe donates to Beirut's iconic restaurant

Hollywood actor Russell Crowe has made a donation to a fundraiser to help repair a restaurant destroyed in last week's Beirut explosion.

Le Chef, an iconic restaurant, is located in Gemmayze, the neighborhood closest to the blast site.

"The restaurant has survived war and economic crises, but the port explosion left it in shambles," according to its GoFundMe page on Aug. 13.

Director Radu Ciorniciuc's debut documentary film, "Acasa, My Home", which tells the story of the family that lived for 20 years in the wilderness of the Vacaresti Delta (ed.n. - a natural delta in District 4 of Bucharest), until the place received protected area status, won the Grand Prize at DOK.fest Munich, according to a release sent to AGERPRES.

Famous rapper Drake refers to Greece trip in song preview

Aubrey Drake Graham, the chart-topping Canadian rapper and songwriter, also known as Drake, refers to "fly[ing] out to Greece" during a live Instagram session previewing some new songs.

Among the previewed tracks was a snippet of the artist singing, "Come with me, fly you out to Greece."  

Actors mark World Theater Day amid pandemic

Turkey's actors on March 27 marked the World Theater Day by releasing videos on social media and encouraging people to stay at home as the novel coronavirus continues spreading across the globe.

Veteran Turkish actress Çolpan İlhan and her son Kerem Alışık, who is also an actor and general art director of Sadri Alışık Theater in Istanbul, marked the World Theater day in a statement.
