High-speed train linking Ankara, İzmir set to launch in 2027
Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu has announced that the high-speed train project linking the capital Ankara and the western province of İzmir will be operational by 2027, marking a one-year advancement from the previous target date.

Hidden gem of Phrygia becomes tourist hub
A hidden gem in the ancient Phrygian Valley has become an alternative tourist destination in western Turkey with many historical places and "fairy chimneys" it boasts.
The Üçlerkayası village in the İhsaniye district of Afyonkarahisar province is a "hidden paradise," according to Tanju Tetik, the head of the Phrygian Culture Foundation.

Project to increase tourism potential in Phrygian region
The "Emre Lake and Phrygian Civilization Garden Project," under construction in the İhsaniye district of the western province of Afyonkarahisar, is expected to revive nature, history and sport tourism in the region when it finishes in 2021.

Winter weather grips Turkey
Turkey is continuing to struggle with bad weather conditions, as wintry snow and rain again hit parts of the country.
Many regions in Turkey, including Istanbul, the eastern Marmara region, the Aegean region and the Black Sea region, were surprised by snowfall, which continued on April 9 after snowfall swept the country on the previous night.
