Age of consent

The consent of a 12-year-old girl is not eligible for debate, a court has ruled in a child sexual abuse case in the southeastern Turhish province of Diyarbakır.

The French government is preparing to introduce for the first time a legal age for sexual consent, the Associated Press reported.

The proposal that featured certain pardons for abusers who married underage girls has been withdrawn back to the commission. 

Yes, that was an achievement. But the matter is not closed.

It was excellent to see women banding together and making their voices heard on the government's recent child sex abuse bill. They were able to solve part of this issue. But a significant part of it is still there.
