At least 58 Egyptian police officers have been killed in an attack by jihadists , local media reported.
The attack took place in Giza province, 150 km away. from the capital Cairo. The police forces acted on a signal, but they were ambushed.

The suspect has resisted arrest and was shot by the police. He is hospitalized. His condition is unknown.

Australian officials say they have arrested four men in connection with a plot to bomb an airplane, following Saturday evening raids. Police say the plot was “Islamic-inspired.”
