Armed robbery at the metro station “Agia Marina” – Two 21-year-olds slightly injured

Two young men were victims of armed robbery last night outside the “Agia Marina” metro station in Egaleo.

Specifically, according to police, the incident occurred shortly before midnight when three unknown assailants approached two 21-year-olds, attacked them with knives and removed chains they were wearing and other personal items.

Fire in Agia Marina Koropi near a residential area – 112 sent for evacuation of settlements

The fire broke out shortly after 11 a.m. Thursday morning in an outdoor area in Agia Marina Koropi.

The flames are burning near a residential area and a 112, was sent out asking residents in the area of Megalo Metochi Agia Marina to move to Koropi Avenue – Agia Marina.

Body of British TV presenter Mosley found on Greek island, local official says

British TV presenter and healthy living advocate Michael Mosley has been found dead on the Greek island of Symi, a deputy mayor of the island told Reuters on Sunday.

Mosley, 67, had been missing since Wednesday after he went for a walk alone along a coastal path in searing heat.

Ships moored to docks across much of the country amid bad weather

Ships remained moored in ports across much of the country on Monday following problems at sea amid winds reaching up to 9 on the Beaufort scale in the Aegean. 

Authorities imposed a ban on ferries departing from Piraeus for the islands of the Cyclades, Crete and the Dodecanese. Ferries were also banned from leaving the ports of Rafina and Lavrio. 

Two cafe-restaurants in Leros burned

A fire burned through two cafe-restaurants located on the main port of Leros, an island in the Dodecanese, early Thursday morning.

Greek media identified the establishments as Glaros and the adjacent Istion, in Agia Marina. The venues were almost completely destroyed.

Authorities are investigating the incident and have not excluded any possibilities.
