Sacred agora unearthed in Laodicea
Archaeological excavations in the ancient city of Laodicea, located in the Eskihisar neighborhood in the western province of Denizli and added to the UNESCO World Heritage Temporary list in 2013, are continuing at a 10-meter-long sacred Agora on an area of 35,000 square meters.

Admission to the Roman Agora, where it is located, costs 6 euros (3 euros reduced) and also allows entry to the Acropolis, the Ancient Agora, the Ancient Cemetery and Museum of Kerameikos, Aristotle's Lyceum and Hadrian's Library.

Energy minister points to ADMIE agreement as great success for Greece
Environment and Energy Minister Panos Skourletis told Greek newspaper Agora that the agreement for Independent Power Transmission Operator (ADMIE) has closed and its implementation is underway. He said that the deal clearly states that the Public Power Corporation is to be compensated.
Assembly of Romans finally comes to light
The İzmir Agora excavations have unearthed the Smyrna assembly, where decisions were made during the Roman Empire. The excavations have been carried out by Dokuz Eylül University Archaeology Department's Smyrna Ancient City excavation team and, so far, 50 percent of the area has been unearthed. The agora is expected to be completely unearthed in the next five years.

Ancient kitchen found in Sagalassos
A 2,000-year-old kitchen, which dates back to the late Roman era, has been discovered in the ancient city of Sagalassos in the southern province of Burdur.
Excavations in the ancient city started in early June, but the discovery of the kitchen was only reported last month.

Low interest in Greece in Turkish elections
