Aid Convoy

A Christmas humanitarian aid convoy from France, worth over EUR 80,000 has arrived in Serb enclaves in Kosovo and Metohija.

The aid was sent by the humanitarian organization Solidarity for Kosovo. Eight volunteers of this organization and its founder Arnaud Gouillon brought 15 tons of aid whose value exceeds EUR 80,000, Solidarity for Kosovo said.

The first vehicles of a Russian aid convoy have reached the war-torn Ukrainian city of Luhansk this afternoon, ignoring charges of ‘direct invasion’ by the government in Kiev.

Ukraine said its customs and border service officials on Friday began inspecting a Russian aid convoy parked just beyond its border, a sign that the two countries were taking steps to ease mounting tensions over the shipment.
     

A dozen Russian armored personnel carriers appeared Friday near a large aid convoy that was parked near the Ukrainian border, poised to cross into rebel-held territory.
