Tragedy averted mid air as Air France engine blows out (photos-video of emergency landing)

A team of investigators and engineers headed to Canada Sunday to inspect an Airbus A380 superjumbo operated by Air France which was forced to make an emergency landing after an engine explosion.
The double-decker aircraft carrying 496 passengers and 24 crew had taken off from Paris on Saturday bound for Los Angeles and was several hours into the flight when the blow-out occurred.

Air France Renews Direct Daily Flights Between Sofia, Paris

Air France has renewed its direct daily flights between the Bulgarian and French capitals starting from Sunday.

The flights between Sofia airport and Charles de Gaulle airport have been added to the airline's summer flight schedule and will be serviced between March 27 and October 29.

The flights will be carried out by an Airbus A319 with a capacity of 143 seats.

Air France bomb hoax caused emergency landing and evacuation

An Air France Boeing 777 en route from Mauritius to Paris was evacuated at Mombasa airport, Kenya, after a suspicious device was found in the plane’s toilets. Air France Chief Frederic Gagey said the fake bomb device was a cardboard box, paper and a timer and described the fake bomb placement as an “extremely aggressive act”.
