Airtickets.gr, Travelplanet24 suspend sales
Tripsta SA, the parent company of travel sites Airtickets.gr and Travelplanet24, announced on Thursday the suspension of all new ticket sales as part of a radical restructuring of the Greek-owned firm, which has also resulted in the sacking of 180 employees from Athens headquarters.

Sales of 1.5 hr e-tickets start
Commuters can buy electronic versions of the regular 1.40-euro ticket allowing access to all forms of public transport in Athens for up to 1.5 hour.
Up until Monday the ticket was only available in paper form. Paper tickets will be discontinued on November 15. Eventually commuters will be able to renew electronic 90-minute tickets at machines, as is the case now for monthly passes.

New electronic transport ticket in use from today
From Monday, November 6th, the new one-way electronic tickets (which correspond to the tickets worth 1.40 Euros) will be available for commuters at the ticket offices of public transport, ie today’s 1,40 Euro tickets.
According to announcements by the competent ministry, the electronic ticket will in circulation concurrently with the conventional paper ticket.
