Prosecutors reveal junta behind Turkey's coup attempt

The joint indictment submitted to an Ankara court on March 3 on the July 2016 coup attempt has identified a 38-member junta named "Peace in the Nation Council" as being among 221 suspected coup plotters led by Fethullah Gülen, head of what the government and the indictment refer to as the Fethullahist Terror Organization (FETÖ). 

Parliamentary panel addresses 10 questions to top Turkish general on coup, abduction

A parliamentary commission investigating the July 15 coup attempt has directed 10 questions to Chief of Staff Gen. Hulusi Akar, who was abducted by putschist soldiers during the foiled attempt before being saved together with other members of the top brass, according to broadcaster NTV.

Top judicial body sends file on prime coup plotter suspect to parliamentary commission

The Turkish High Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSYK) has sent a file on Adil Öksüz, one of the prime suspects of the July 15 coup attempt who was released shortly after his detention, to the parliamentary commission formed to investigate the thwarted coup.

Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmuş has said the fugitive Adil Öksüz, one of the prime suspects behind Turkey's failed July 15 coup attempt, is only a "shadow" figure and the top orchestrators of the attempted putsch have not yet surfaced.

The Turkish Interior Ministry has updated its list of individuals linked to terrorist organizations, adding Adil Öksüz, one of major suspects of the July 15 coup attempt, and putting a 4 million-Turkish Lira bounty on his head.

Another 36 suspects were also placed on the list for alleged links to Gülen.
