Man’s body recovered from sea off Mount Athos
Authorities in Mount Athos have launched an investigation following the recovery of a man's body from the sea on Saturday.
According to the coast guard, the man was about 40 years old, was about 1.70-1.75 centimeters tall, had a normal build and was wearing a dark-colored tracksuit and trainers.

3.3 Magnitude Earthquake Registered in Greece
An earthquake measuring 3.3 on the Richter Scale has been reported in northern Greece in the Mount Athos region, BGNES reported.
According to Greek seismologists, the epicentrе of the earthquake was located 7-8 km. southeast of Ierissos at a depth of 10 km. "It was a slight earthquake, isolated," Ilias Fikos, a geologist and physicist, told ANA-MPA.

Minor quake jolts Mount Athos in northern Greece
A light earthquake was recorded early on Tuesday in the area of Mount Athos, in northern Greece.
According to the Seismological Station of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the tremor measured 3.3 on the Richter scale and its epicenter was 7-8 km south-east of Ierissos, at a depth of 10 kilometers.

Boat gets into trouble off coast of Mount Athos
A small passenger boat carrying 23 people from Ierissos in Halkidiki to Mount Athos suffered engine trouble on Wednesday, prompting the response of coast guard vessels and private boats sailing nearby.
While the vessel was being towed to shore, the captain managed to repair the engine before sailing back to the port of Ierissos.
