Akar: Athens trying to turn dispute with Ankara into an EU-Turkey row

Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar on Tuesday said that Ankara wants to settle differences in the Eastern Mediterranean, the Aegean and Cyprus through dialogue and good neighborly relations, however stressing that it will do everything to safeguard the rights of the Turkish people, the state-run Anadolu agency reports.

A total of 87 soldiers at a military barracks in the southwestern resort district of Marmaris were hospitalized in the Aegean province of Muğla over a period of three days after suffering from nausea and vomiting, Doğan News Agency reported on June 29. 

Two French soldiers arrested in Turkey's Marmaris

Two French soldiers, who assaulted one person and stole his wallet, were arrested in the touristic town of Marmaris in Turkey's southwestern province of Mu?la on March 29.

The victim Koral Kolbüken filed a complaint against the soldiers, identified only as Cedric R., 28, and Loic R., 29, who were reportedly intoxicated during the attack.
