Shooting at Alabama birthday party kills 4 people, wounds 28
Alabama law enforcement officers Sunday were imploring people to come forward with information about a shooting that killed four people and injured 28 others during a teenager's birthday party.
Museum documents US history of racism, slavery
The statues of chained men, women and children stick hauntingly out of sand as simulated waves crash overhead, a symbol to the estimated two million people for whom the slave trade ended in a watery grave in the Atlantic Ocean.
The exhibit is part on an expanded museum created by the Equal Justice Initiative that focuses on the legacy of slavery in America.

As he added, spouses Selma and Samir Rustemovi are responsible for many things.
"I will especially thank Dirk and Jens who invested money and did this, our German friends. Selma pushes with energy like a bulldozer, and Samir plays his part," he said jokingly.

Athens metro operating firm says walkout unjustified
The operating firm of the Athens metro, STASY, said Tuesday that Monday's 24-hour strike by the metro workers union SELMA, which saw the cancellation of services on lines 2 and 3, was unjustified.
STASY said that participation in the strike by SELMA - one of nine workers unions active in the rail sector - was limited.
