Krunic fails to reach Brisbane semi-finals
BRISBANE - Serbian tennis player Aleksandra Krunic has ended her campaign at the Brisbane WTA tournament after losing 6-2, 6-4 to Latvian Anastasija Sevastova in the quarter-finals on Thursday.
Failing to emulate her excellent performances from the previous two rounds, when she knocked out German Carina Witthoeft and Spanard Garbine Muguruza, Krunic was defeated after 87 minutes.

Krunic suffers early exit in Rabat
RABAT - Serbia's Aleksandra Krunic has suffered an early exit from the Rabat WTA tournament after losing 6-2, 7-6 (9-7) to Kazakhstan's Yaroslava Shvedova in the first round on Tuesday.
Krunic will continue her Rabat campaign with her doubles partner, Daria Gavrilova of Australia.

Krunic, Barty to open Serbia vs Australia Fed Cup clash
ZRENJANIN - Aleksandra Krunic and Ashleigh Barty were on Friday drawn to open the Fed Cup World Group II play-offs clash between Serbia and Australia in Zrenjanin on Saturday, with Ivana Jorovic and Daria Gavrilova to take the court afterwards.
Jankovic, Krunic knocked out of Charleston tournament
CHARLESTON - Serbia's Jelena Jankovic and Aleksandra Krunic have been knocked out of the Charleston WTA tennis tournament.
Jankovic, the 2007 winner at the tournament, lost 6-1, 6-3 to Australian Samantha Stosur in the second round, with Krunic defeated 6-1, 4-6, 6-3 by Croatia's Mirjana Lucic-Baroni.

Krunic out of Chinese Taipei tournament
TAIPEI - Serbia's Aleksandra Krunic has ended her campaign at the WTA tournament in Chinese Taipei after losing 6-3, 6-4 to Lucie Safarova of the Czech Republic in the opening round on Tuesday.
Wild card Safarova will next face Latvian Anastasia Sevastova.

Belgium oust Serbia from Fed Cup
BELGRADE - Belgium secured its place in next year's Fed Cup World Group II after beating Serbia in their play-off tie 3-1 in Belgrade on Sunday.
Serbia are now relegated to Europe/Africa Zone Group I.
Belgian Kirsten Flipkens brought Belgium back to World Group II following a hard fought 7-6 (10-8), 6-4 victory over Ivana Jorovic.

Tennis: Serbia wins place in elite
NOVI SAD- The Serbian tennis team has won a place in the Fed Cup World Group B as it drew a convincing victory against Paraguay in Novi Sad on Sunday, 3-1.
Female tennis player Aleksandra Krunic scored the winning point for Serbia as she beat Montserrat Gonzalez, 6-0, 6-2.
Previously, Veronica Cepede Royg defeated Ivana Jorovic, 3-6, 6-2, 6-1.

Serbia has upper hand over Paraguay, 2-0
NOVI SAD - The Serbian female tennis team has the upper hand over Paraguay, 2-0, after the first day of qualification matches for World Group B in Novi Sad.
Aleksandra Krunic won the first point for Serbia as she drew a convincing victory over Veronica Cepede Royg, 6-1, 6-3.

Fed Cup:Ana and Jelena to head Serbian team against Paraguay
BELGRADE - Coach of the Serbian Fed Cup team Tatjana Jecmenica released on Tuesday the list of female tennis players who will compete in the match against Paraguay in the play off for World Group B.
The list includes Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Jankovic, and Jecmenica also invited Aleksandra Krunic and Ivana Jorovic to play in the qualifications.
Jorovic nominated for Heart Award
LONDON - Serbia's Ivana Jorovic has been nominated for the Heart Award, handed out by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) for FED Cup performances.
Jorovic played for Serbia in February in the Europe/Africa Zone Group I matches in Budapest.
