A former pupil of the well-known acting teacher Miroslav "Mika" Aleksic told Belgrade's Higher Court on Friday that she was frightened to report the sexual abuse she'd survived when it happened.

She tesitifed that she was abused in 2015 but only reported it to the police in 2021, after other former pupils spoke out about what had happened to them.

Srdjan Aleksic's father said on Friday that the tributes paid to his son, who died 30 years ago and has become a rare symbol of wartime tolerance, are keeping him alive.

As he arranged flowers on his son's grave in the city of Trebinje, Rade Aleksic proudly showed off a pot on which unknown mourners had written the message: "To a fellow citizen - a hero."

Three professors attended. After one left, "seeing where the evening was heading," another grabbed her knee under the table, said Elena. The third, kissing and licking her hand, asked her for sex. In return, he said he would allow her fellow students to complete the course he had expelled them from because of their participation in the protests.

Ljiljana Kovacevic, head of Serbia's Tax Administration, said they had started checking up on the earnings and businesses of folk and pop stars in the country after news broke of singer Svetlana Seka Aleksic's latest gift.

"Right now, we are checking the origin of the money with which Seka Aleksic's husband bought her a car for 100,000 euro for her birthday," she said.
