Over 1,600 nabbed in nationwide crackdown on unlicensed guns
Turkish security forces have apprehended over 1,600 suspects in operations conducted nationwide within a week, targeting individuals carrying unlicensed firearms, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on Nov. 7.
The operation spanned all 81 provinces of the country, resulting in the seizure of 2,274 firearms, Yerlikaya said on a X post.
Authorities detain over 200 ISIL suspects
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya has announced the arrest of 216 suspects in coordinated operations across 45 provinces targeting ISIL operatives.
The large-scale security operation, which included the major cities of Ankara, Istanbul and İzmir, was conducted with the assistance of chief public prosecutor's offices and law enforcement, Yerlikaya said in an X post on Oct. 28.

Three FETÖ suspects captured at Greece border
Twelve people, including three FETÖ suspects, have been apprehended while attempting to illegally cross into Greece from the northwestern city of Edirne, the Defense Ministry announced on Aug. 28.
The individuals were intercepted by Turkish border forces, the ministry said in a written statement.

Authorities net over 300 suspects in nationwide drug raids
Authorities have detained 336 suspects in a sweeping operation targeting drug manufacturers across Türkiye, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said on Aug. 27.
The coordinated raids, which took place across 49 provinces, resulted in the seizure of 2.42 tons of drugs and around 890,000 pills.
Turkish police nab 65 ISIL suspects in major op
Turkish security units have apprehended a total of 65 ISIL terror suspects in a series of operations spanning the past five days across more than 10 of the country's 81 provinces, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya has said.

Türkiye arrests 99 suspected ISIL members
Interior minister said Friday that 99 suspected members of the Islamic State jihadist group had been detained in recent raids across the country.
The arrests were made mainly in Ankara and in Izmir in the west, as well as in the center, east and south, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya posted on X.
