Measures being planned to increase births
The birth allowance is increasing permanently and retroactively by 400 to 1,500 euros for births that took place from January last year, depending on the number of children. This is the allowance introduced as of January 1, 2020, amounting to €2,000 for each child born.

Five income-boosting measures
Four support measures (Youth Pass, heating allowance, fuel for farmers, and one-off pensioner aid) are being implemented between now and Christmas, supporting vulnerable social groups and young people, while another is planned for vulnerable households if budget conditions allow.

Allowance of 534 euros for people working in companies affected by fires
An allowance of 534 euros per month for up to three months will be provided to employees of businesses that were forced to close due to the fires, Labor Minister Adonis Georgiadis said on Monday.

The Chamber of Deputies on Wednesday passed a bill approving Emergency Ordinance (OUG) 115/2020, which provides for the issuing of digital social vouchers of 180 lei per month for hot meals to people over 75 years of age whose income is at the level of social allowance and to the homeless, with the necessary amounts to be provided from non-reimbursable external funds.
Bulgaria: Increase of Minimum Salary and Pensions from Today
From January first minimum salary is BGN 650 - increase with BGN 40. Salaries for government officials will be increased by 10%.
For the entire 2021, funds are planned to ensure a 30% increase from 1 August 2020 in the salaries of the administrations, which are charged with activities to control the pandemic and the consequences of COVID-19.
Ministry Raises Alarm Over Child Poverty in Serbia
Dragan Vulevic, from Serbia's Ministry of Labour and Social affairs, says about 390,000 children in Serbia - about 23 percentage of the nation's children - live in families that receive child allowance as social support.

Labour Min Plumb: We are working on a draft law regarding a differential child allowance
The Labour Ministry is working on a package of measures through which child allowance will be given differentially, the draft law being to be made public in September - October, on Monday said minister Rovana Plumb for Digi24.

Doubling of child allowance's law, promulgated by president Iohannis
President, Klaus Iohannis has promulgated on Monday the Law on approving the Government Emergency Ordinance (OUG) no. 65/2014 for the modification and completion of some normative acts, through which the child allowance is doubled, from 42 to 84 lei (rd 18.9 euro).
