Turkish soldiers start training on Russian S-400 system

The Turkish Defense Ministry on Wednesday said that training has commenced on the controversial Russian S-400 missile defense system that has soured Ankara's ties with Washington and raised tension with Athens.

In a post on Twitter, the minister said that training on the long-range air and missile defense system has started in Gatchina, Russia.

Russians say Dutch commission hushes up information

The Defense Ministry announced on Friday that the Dutch are also suppressing information about those who handed the engine over to the investigators.

It added that the Dutch investigators could have glossed over the source of origin of the missile engine because it could belong to Ukraine's armed forces, Sputnik is reporting.

BELGRADE - Serbian authorities are planning to discuss with the Russian leadership purchases of the Buk missile systems, Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said Monday.

Russia offers Iran new missiles despite sanctions

Russia has offered Iran advanced surface-to-air missiles after scrapping a similar deal in 2010 because of UN sanctions over Tehran's nuclear programme, the state defence company said on Feb. 23.
      
Any such a deal is likely to go down badly in Washington as Western countries seek to keep up the pressure on Iran to agree a comprehensive deal on its nuclear activities.
