TEŠ case trial to begin after decade-long investigation

Celje – After a decade-long investigation, corruption trial will start in the case of a EUR 1.4 billion generator project at the Šoštanj coal-fired power station TEŠ. Twelve individuals and two legal entities face charges on multiple counts. The arraignment is scheduled for Friday.

Three bidders short-listed for metro Line 4

The three consortiums bidding for the construction project of the fourth Athens metro line have been short-listed for the second stage of the tender. The three suitors have been asked to table their financial and technical offers by December 10, so that the selection process for the biggest public works project of the next decade can begin.

Four bidders expected for Athens metro project, source says

Four bidders are expected to show interest in Greece's tender to build a 1.45 billion euro ($1.72 billion) project to expand the Athens metro, a source familiar with the matter said on Wednesday.

Greece's GEK Terna will bid as part of a joint venture with France's Vinci and Siemens, a spokesman for GEK Terna said.

Siemens 'eager to bid' in Turkey high speed rail tender, searching for local partners

The director of Siemens Turkey's high speed trains department has said the company plans to bid in a tender expected to be opened by the Transport Ministry to buy a total of 80 high speed trains in mid-2016. 

"We want to bid and we are evaluating the process now," said Siemens' Cüneyt Genç in an interview with Reuters. 

France's Alstom to bid in Turkish rail tender, sees 100 mln euro investment

France's Alstom plans to bid in a tender for high-speed rail in Turkey and would spend 100 million euros on a production plant, the head of the transport group's Turkish unit told Reuters on March 3.

Arban Ç?tak also said that Alstom has chosen a local partner for the bid, but has yet to announce the partner's name.
