Transport Strike throws Europe into Chaos
Strike wave in Europe - all flights departing from Brussels International Airport have been canceled today.
The reason - a national protest of security officials.
A statement from the airport states that there may be a big delay tomorrow due to today's canceled flights.

Tourism Minister: Routes and destinations from the USA to Greece expanded
The Minister of Tourism Vassilis Kikilias announced the extension of the itineraries and the opening of new destinations in Greece from the United States.
The announcement came after a series of teleconferences held on Monday, May 2, with senior executives from all three US airlines operating in Athens this year, namely Delta Airlines, American Airlines and United Airlines.

Turkish Airlines Launches Flights to Dallas, Texas as of 24 September
Turkish Airlines, the airline that flies to more destinations than any other air company in the world, continues to expand its flight network. As of September 24, the carrier will operate four direct flights per week from Istanbul to Dallas, Texas - on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

American Airlines to link Athens with New York as of June
Beginning June 3, American Airlines will launch a new service for the summer 2021 season from Athens to New York (JFK) on a Boeing 777-200. Flights will be available for booking beginning this Monday, January 25.
Onboard customers can choose to travel in Flagship Business, Premium Economy or Main Cabin, while WiFi and inflight entertainment will be available throughout the aircraft.
Gov’t tailwind of €115 million
The government on Thursday announced the allocation of 115 million euros to support the local airline industry, which Greek flag carrier Aegean Airlines considered positive but "too little in comparison with other European Union states." Instead the listed carrier is eyeing a €150 million state loan through the extraordinary credit mechanism for companies.

Turkish Airlines suspends all flights until May 28
Turkish Airlines will not operate any domestic or international flights until May 28, the company announced on April 28.
Turkey's national flag carrier said the decision to extend the suspension of operations has been taken in the public interest.

Carriers get slot respite from the EP
Air companies will not lose their airport slots this summer, according to a decision by the European Parliament in what is the first European measure to support carriers. Airlines have been hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic, as most have seen their flight numbers cut considerably, if not canceled altogether.

British Airways Cancels Flights on September 27 Due to Pilot Strike
Environmental activists from the ,,Rebellion against Destruction'' movement are launching a series of actions to block Heathrow Airport by launching drones, BNR reported.
British Airways, meanwhile, is canceling some flights for the September 27 date. A new strike for the airline pilots, demanding higher wages, is scheduled for that time.
