Anatolia College

Multinational companies active in the educational sector are being drawn to invest in the Greek market, driven by strong demand for quality education as well as legislative revisions fostering cooperation between private universities in Greece and renowned universities abroad.

It was just after World War II and young Antonis Papadopoulos was graduating from elementary school. The son of refugees from Asia Minor, he lived alone with his mother, following his father's death, in Toumba, one of Thessaloniki's poorest districts. Knowing of his love for letters, the family's friends and acquaintances encouraged him to apply to Anatolia College.

A fund launched by Anatolia College in Thessaloniki to respond to the coronavirus crisis has so far raised more than 56,000 euros from more than 320 donors worldwide.

Organizers said the funds will be used to supply the intensive care unit of the northern port city's AHEPA hospital with valuable equipment and medical supplies. 

The U.S. Embassy in Athens, in collaboration with the American College of Thessaloniki – Anatolia College, Deree – The American College of Greece, and Perrotis College – American Farm School, announces the program “Education Unites: From Camp to Campus” that will provide higher education scholarships to 100 eligible refugees in Athens and 100 in Thessaloniki.
