Sofia Museum Hosts Louvre Exhibition on Egypt
An exhibition on Ancient Egypt is now on display at the Sofia History Museum in the downtown area of Bulgaria's capital.
Titled "Meeting an Egyptian Priest", it tells part of the story of Nachthorheb, whose 1.5 m tall statue is the centerpiece of the exhibition.

Mummy “Scandal” revealed by researchers
A University of Manchester project revealed that one third of the animal mummies in the city’s museum had no trace of animal left, but were only pieces wrapped up in a way to make it look as such.
The project included 800 mummified animals from ancient Egypt, which were scanned with the help of technology.

The Unseen Museum presents bronze sarcophagus of a cat
As part of an initiative titled "The Unseen Museum," which casts the spotlight on items owned by Greek museums but hidden from public sight due to a lack of space, the National Archaeological Museum hosts a series of events focusing on an amazing artifact, the bronze sarcophagus of a cat.
New Amphipolis finds taken to museum for preservation
A large marble door and the head of a sphinx found inside the ancient tomb at Amphipolis were moved to a nearby museum on Friday.
The door, which is in two pieces, and the marble sphinx head will be cleaned up and preserved.
The removal of the door from the tomb frees up space for the archaeologists to work in.
