Free events at ancient sites… by the light of the full moon!
140 events across dozens of archeological sites and museums around Greece are being held to celebrate the full moon on August 29. Apart from the concerts, theater performances, exhibitions, film screenings and other events there will be admission to all sites free of charge.

A free talk on “Images, Beliefs, Cults” is part of the Museum’s alternating Saturday talks with presentations in Greek at 8.30 p.m. and 10.30 p.m. There will be 35 people per talk.

Culture Ministry heralds e-tickets for sites
The new leadership of the Culture Ministry?s Archaeological Resources and Expropriations Fund on Thursday announced that an electronic ticket, allowing entrance to seven of the capital?s key archaeological sites including the Acropolis and the Ancient Agora, will be available by June.
