Dourou charged in connection with Mandra floods in 2017
An Athens prosecutor has brought charges against Attica Regional Governor Rena Dourou and another nine officials in connection with the flash floods in Mandra, western Attica, in November 2017 which resulted in the deaths of 25 people and the destruction of hundreds of properties.
Piraeus court acquits all suspects in explosives shipment trial
A court in the port city of Piraeus Thursday acquitted all nine suspects in the trial concerning a Tanzania-flagged cargo ship that was intercepted off the coast of Crete in January 2018 carrying 410 tons of explosives.
Marathonas residents group call for probe into water cuts
A group of residents from Marathonas have called for a judicial investigation into a 21-day water cut in their town, accusing mayor Ilias Psinakis of inertia.
The around 2,000 residents of the Dikastina settlement say have been without running water since February 1, with no explanation from Psinakis.

Shipowner Alexandros Agoudimos arrested for debts to the state
Greek shipowner Alexandros Agoudimos appeared before a Piraeus prosecutor on Friday following his arrest for debts to the state the previous day.
Agoudimos was detained during a random check by the police's motorcycle DIAS unit on Akti Posidonos in Piraeus on Thursday night, during which officers discovered he had been convicted for unpaid arrears.
Woman reportedly confesses to killing of 79-year-old man in Piraeus
A 50-year-old Chilean woman who had been brought in for questioning over the death of a 79-year-old man whose body was found in his first-floor apartment in the port of Piraeus, has reportedly confessed to his murder, state-run news agency ANA-MPA said on Thursday.
The victim had stab wounds to his neck, chest and stomach, while his mouth had been fastened shut with clothes pegs.
Man found dead with stab wounds in Piraeus
Greek police on Wednesday found the body of a 79-year-old man in a first-floor apartment in the port city of Piraeus, state-run news agency ANA-MPA reported.
According to the report, the victim had stab wounds on his chest.
Officers of the homicide division are interrogating a 50-year-old woman, who has been identified as a Chilean national, who lived with the victim.

Probe launched after 56 Attica driving licenses found to be bogus
