Brnabic will visit the Czech Republic together with Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali at the invitation of Prime Minister Andrej Babis.

Brnabic will meet with President of the Czech Republic Milos Zeman and chairmen of both Houses of Parliament Radek Vondracek and Jaroslav Kubera.

Slovakia's new government has won a confidence vote in parliament amid the political crisis sparked by the slayings of an investigative journalist and his fiancee, reported ABC News. 

BRATISLAVA (REUTERS) - Slovak President Andrej Kiska appointed Peter Pellegrini as prime minister on Thursday to end a political crisis touched off by the murder of an investigative journalist that led to mass protests and the resignation of veteran leader Robert Fico.

Robert Fico has offered to resign as Slovakia's prime minister in an effort to quell a gathering political crisis sparked by the murder of an investigative journalist.

Slovak president Andrej Kiska appointed Robert Fico as prime minister on March 23 after Fico's leftist Smer party won the largest share of the vote in a March 5 election and formed a four-party coalition. 

BRATISLAVA - Slovakia is Serbia's true friend, whose experience can teach us a lot, Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said on Thursday in the talks with Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico.

The Serbian prime minister was welcomed in Bratislava by the guard of honor and a ceremony at which the two countries' anthems were played.

"Positive signals from EU as soon as possible"

BRATISLAVA -- Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic conferred on Thursday with Slovak President Andrej Kiska as he started his visit to Slovakia.

Kiska "welcomed the efforts Serbia is investing on its EU path, noting that the most important matter now is to receive positive signals from the EU as soon as possible."

Bulgaria's Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov arrived Thursday on an official visit to Slovakia at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak.
