German parliament to vote on 8.5bn tranche to Greece
The German budget committee is expected to sanction the release of the 8.5bn euro tranche to Greece later Wednesday. Schauble: Erdogan trying to establish dictatorship in Turkey
German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schauble expressed his concern in the event Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan was victorious on the April 16 referendum. Mr. Schauble said that if the Turkish President prevailed in the referendum the danger of a dictatorship being implemented in the country was real.

German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schauble said the current situation in Turkey was “pathetic”, commenting on the prospect of Germany reassessing Turkey’s request for financial aid. “Turkey has to guarantee that all the necessary requirements are present that would allow the country to receive financial aid”, Mr. Schauble stressed.
Government spokesman blames Schaeuble for review delay
Government spokesman Dimitris Tzanakopoulos has blamed German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble for the failure to complete the second review of Greece's bailout program.
"Exclusive responsibility for the delay right now lies with [Schauble], with his constant ambivalence and indecisiveness," Tzanakopoulos said in an interview with Newport.gr website Monday.

Schauble says Greece should work on counter measures if unable to cut pensions
German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schauble stressed that Greece should find some counter measures, if it could not cut pensions, Wednesday. On the matter of the sustainability of the Greek debt he said that it was ‘something, unfortunately that would be discussed later’. Schauble underlined that Athens should try to achieve its aim and close the assessment by the institutions in April.
Greek government concerns over German stance on Tuesday deal
German Chancellor Angela Merkel expressed her reservations to Greek PM Alexis Tsipras in a phone conversation, Tuesday about the success of the deal struck between Greece and the creditors. In an interview to German Handeslblatt French Finance Minister Michel Sapin blasted his German counterpart Wolfgang Schauble on his plan for a temporary Grexit. Sapin points out that Schauble is in the wrong on the Greek issue, adding “…he contradicts his own will for Europe”.
