BELGRADE - Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic began his 421st week at the top of the ATP rankings on Monday.

According to the ATP website, Djokovic currently has 10,035 points - 310 more than last week, despite a 4-6,6-1, 4-6 defeat to Norwegian Casper Ruud in the Monte Carlo Masters semi-finals at the weekend.

MONTE CARLO - Serbia's Novak Djokovic, the world number one in men's tennis singles, was on Friday drawn to face the winner of the tie between Roman Safiulin and a qualifier in the Monte Carlo Masters second round and could play Carlos Alcaraz in the potential semi-finals and Jannik Sinner or Daniil Medvedev in the potential final.

The Serb won 7:6 (3), 4:6, 6:2, 6:3 at 30 Melbourne degrees Celsius and after an almost four-hour battle.
Only after two and a half hours of play, at the opening of the third set, did Djokovic make the first break, after 15 missed opportunities, and therefore broke the match against the awkward American.

TURIN - Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic was on Thursday drawn to play Jannik Sinner, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Holger Rune in the Green group of the ATP Masters in Turin, the final Masters tournament of the season.

Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev, Andrey Rublev and Alexander Zverev are in the Red group.

The top two players from each group will advance to the semi-finals.
