“There’s so much fentanyl that it’s contaminated other drugs sold on the street like meth and crack cocaine. It’s in everything”

Nearly 6 kilograms of fentanyl have been seized by the police in operations across Bulgaria since the start of the year. This was announced in an interview with the National Radio by Deputy Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Chief Commissioner Zhivko Kotsev.

In just one week, 10 people died in Varna after using heroin, to which the hundred times more powerful synthetic fentanyl was added. The data is unofficial and was reported to Bulgarian media "Dnevnik" by two independent addiction treatment centers - "Just today" and "Change is life".

China dismissed as "fake news" on Thursday accusations that the Asian power is failing to stop production of fentanyl, after the U.S. ambassador said there had been no progress.

Four men believed to be members of a drug distribution crew have been charged in the overdose death of actor Michael K. Williams five months ago, authorities said on Feb. 2.

The American hip-hop artist Montana Millz (a real name, Michael Persso), author of Sell Drugsz, was sentenced to three years in prison for drug trafficking.
