Young champ eyeing on medal in 2024 Olympics
Turkish swimmer Merve Tuncel, who broke the world junior short track record in Istanbul on Dec. 22., has revealed her secret to success in an interview with the daily Hürriyet.
Tuncel came first in 1,500-meter women freestyle in a time of 15:45:29 in the Interclub Junior and Open Aged Short Track Turkey Swimming Championship.

New police chiefs assigned to 61 provinces in Turkey
New police chiefs have been assigned to 61 provinces across Turkey including İzmir, Adana and Konya, according to a decree published on Oct. 26 in the Official Gazette. The major reshuffle comes as part of sweeping state of emergency decrees just over three months after the failed July 15 military coup attempt.
Top level security at Ankara's main bus terminal
After it was revealed that the bomb that killed 37 people in Ankara was transported to the city on an intercity bus, security measures at the main bus terminal of the city (A?T?) have been widely increased. According to a statement from Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, after the March 13 attack, A?T? was placed under the highest security measures.

Anka carries out first missionary flight
Anka, an unmanned aerial vehicle developed by the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), carried out its debut missionary flight in the eastern province of Elaz?? on Feb. 5.
Taking off from Elaz?? Airport, Anka ("Phoenix" in English) ascended to an altitude of 19,000 feet to carry out a four-hour exploration and observation flight.
