Istanbul judges warned about Intermediate Courts of Appeals in 2016
Some 27 High Criminal Court Head Judges in Istanbul issued a formal complaint against the newly established Intermediate Courts of Appeal (BAM) in 2016, arguing that the courts “may compromise judicial credibility,” Doğan News Agency has reported.
Serbia's Supreme Court to Sit on Tsvetan Vasilev's Extradition Request on March 16
The Supreme Court of Serbia postponed its sitting on the request for the extradition of the Bulgarian businessman and majority owner of insolvent Corporate Commercial Bank (KTB), Tsvetan Vasilev to March 16.
Vasilev was expected to appear before the court in Belgrade on Wednesday in connection with the request of the Bulgarian prosecutor's office for his extradition.

An appeals court in Thessaloniki on Wednesday rejected a request by the city?s former mayor, Vassilis Papageorgopoulos, who is serving a prison term for embezzlement, to be released from jail until the Supreme Court hears his appeal against his sentence.

Sofia City Court has released Nikolai Kobliakov, described as an opposition-affiliated Russian businessman, in his own recognizance.
Moscow had issued in 2013 a red notice for Kobliakov over an alleged criminal offense.
On Tuesday the businessman arrived in Sofia flying from French capital Paris and was detained on the passport control checkpoint.
