The photographs of late photojournalist Ara Güler, taken by journalist Nezih Tavlaş while writing the biography "The Life Story of Photojournalist Ara Güler," were published in the state-run Anadolu Agency (AA) Archive.

In the 106 photos taken by Tavlaş, published on the sixth anniversary of Güler's death, Güler is seen at home, in his office, on the street and at the airport.

Synthesis Gallery (Галерия Синтезис) in Sofia is hosting a mesmerizing exhibition titled "Istanbul" by renowned photographer Ara Güler, in collaboration with the Ara Güler Museum in Istanbul, the Plovdiv Photography Center, and Photosynthesis.

İzzet Keribar, who has been recording the city and people for years, told about his adventure of becoming a master photographer.

"Compared to now, I think that I have photographed Istanbul very little. Because we could not predict that Istanbul would change so much. We thought that boats in Karaköy would always stay," he said.

An exhibition, titled 'History is Looking at You: Archeology in Ara Güler's Photographs,' displaying archeology photographs by late photography artist Ara Güler, was opened at the Turkish Archeology and Cultural Heritage Institute in the southeastern province of Gaziantep. The exhibition will run through Sept 1.

Several events will honor the memory of Turkey's late legendary photojournalist Ara Güler on what would have been his 93rd birthday on Aug. 16.

An exhibition by Turkey's celebrated late photographer Ara Güler on the western province of İzmir will be greeting its online audience with "merhaba," which means "hello" in Turkish and was one of his favorite words that he used throughout his life.

The "Ara Güler Photography Exhibition," which shows photos by Turkey's world-famous photography artist, the late Ara Güler, to the world, opened on Jan. 29 in the Italian capital Rome.

After London, Paris, Kyoto and New York, Rome is the fifth city where the exhibition is on show at the Trastevere Museum.

Turkey on Oct. 17 commemorated Ara Güler at his first death anniversary.

Turkey's president opened a photo exhibition Sept. 23 featuring the works of renowned Turkish-Armenian photographer Ara Güler.       

A selection of photos taken by legendary Turkish-Armenian photographer Ara Güler, who passed away last October, will be on display in New York in September.
