Türkiye says 'closely monitoring' Turkish child's recovery after Zurich knife attack
Türkiye reported on Thursday that its diplomatic mission in Zurich is actively monitoring the condition of a Turkish child who was injured in a kindergarten attack in Switzerland.
"Our Consulate General in Zurich is in contact with the family and is closely monitoring the situation," stated the Turkish Foreign Ministry on X.
Black-headed penduline tit spotted in Turkey
Black-headed penduline tit, a rare bird species, has been spotted for the first time in Turkey in the eastern province of Iğdır.
The bird, known as Remiz macronyx, was found during work officials conducted in the Iğdır Aras River Bird Sanctuary as part of the Agriculture and Forestry Ministry's Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks' National Ringing Program.

Within the scope of a balance training, workers and electrical technicians of an electricity distribution company in the eastern province of Erzurum are playing volleyball on top of 12-meter-high poles.
"Playing volleyball on top of the poles is difficult but enjoyable," a worker told Demirören News Agency on Sept. 7.
Some 5,000 birds ringed on their migration route
Located at the junction of the routes of birds migrating from Asia, Europe and Africa, a bird research center in eastern Turkey registered and ringed around 5,000 birds from 97 species between March and June.
