Empty Chairs | Athens | September 19 – October 3
Nefeli Publishing is hosting the group exhibition "Empty Chairs" at S22 (22 Smolenski) as part of the Year of Giannis Skarimpas, marking 40 years since the Greek author's death. Contemporary artists explore Skarimpas' themes through visual art. The exhibition features artwork alongside manuscripts from his archive. Admission is free.

Docs on migration records most popular in state archives
Documents related to the settlement of Turks from abroad are the most accessed in the online document scanning system of state archives, officials told state-run Anadolu Agency on Aug. 18.
Digitized Parliament archives open to all in September
Maria Kamilaki, linguist and deputy head of the General Directorate of Electronic Administration, Library and Publications at the Hellenic Parliament gave Kathimerini a guided tour through the history of the library and its archives. BIRN Funds Projects to Research War Crime Case Archives
The Balkan Investigative Reporting Network has selected 13 journalists, historians, artists and activists to receive grants to create small projects based on the archives of the UN war crimes tribunal in The Hague and domestic courts in former Yugoslav countries.

Romanian historians have signed an open letter protesting against the decision of the Romanian National Archives, ANR, to limit access to documents in the National Archival Fund.
BIRN Offers Grants to Explore War Crimes Archives
The Balkan Investigative Reporting Network has launched a call for proposals for small projects by journalists, artists, historians and civil society activists covering topics related to the archives of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia and domestic courts in former Yugoslav countries that dealt with war crimes cases.

Royal House of Romania, Russian Imperial House in La Belle Epoque exhibition opens in Brasov
An exhibition of photographs of the Royal House of Romania and the Russian Imperial House from the end of the 19th century - the beginning of the 20th century opened on Tuesday in Brasov as part of a project in which the Brasov County Museum of History partnered with the Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Bucharest and three archives from Russia.
MPs visit Parliament library
A man reads in one of three branches of the Greek Parliament's library, in the central Athens district of Kolonos, during a visit to the facility by a group of MPs, on Wednesday. The Lenorman Street branch is located in a former state tobacco plant that was built in 1927 and listed as a historic monument in 1989.

Turkey has opened the Foreign Ministry's archives to researchers. The ministry's archives since 1919 will be opened to professionals through a private password.
