Kastoria’s Supply Route Unlocked: Completion of LNG Gasification Station Filling
The filling of the LNG Storage and Gasification Station developed by Enaon EDA, the Greek Gas Distribution Company, a subsidiary of Italgas, was completed on Tuesday 24/09/2024 at the Industrial Park of Kastoria, to bring natural gas to the areas of Kastoria and Argos Orestiko.
Man arrested after attacking female driver with baton
A 45-year old driver was arrested on Tuesday in Argos, after he attacked a woman with a wooden stick during a conflict between drivers, police said.
Museums, archaeological sites celebrating supermoon

No cash for piling trash

Pfizer-BioTech Covid-19 vaccines arrive in Nafplio, Argos hospitals
The hospitals of Nafplio and Argos in the Peloponnese received their first batches of the Pfizer-BioTech Covid-19 vaccines on Thursday, January 7, 2021. In Nafplio, the truck transporting the 115 doses was greeted with applause from the health workers and the deputy manager of the local hospital, Theodore Vassilopoulos, while the hospital in Argos received 145 doses.
'Zorbas' wreaks widespread damage
The General Secretariat for Civil Protection on Sunday declared several municipalities in mainland Greece to be in a state of emergency after a powerful tropical-type storm pounded the region, causing widespread damage.

Man fatally shoots half-sister, 11, in Argos
A 29-year-old man fatally shot his half-sister before turning the gun on himself at the home of his stepmother at Argos in the Peloponnese on Sunday, police said.
According to local reports, the man forced his way into his stepmother's home in the early afternoon and started a fire.

Elon Musk's Rocket Made a Hole in the Ionosphere
The launch of Space X Falcon 9, which brought a Taiwanese satellite into orbit in August, caused the formation of a 900-kilometer hole in the ionosphere. This is said in a study by the National University of Taiwan.

Hundreds attend spectacular horse parade in Argos (VIDEO-PHOTOS)
Hundreds of locals and visitors gathered to attend the “2017 Diomedia Horse Parade” that took place in Argos, on Sunday November 5.
The much anticipated equestrian event started at 10am in the morning in the center of the city of Argos, and ended at Kefalari parkland, in the afternoon.
Greece marks day of defiance
Students march in a parade in the northern Peloponnese town of Argos on Saturday. Similar events took place around the country to mark Ochi Day, which commemorates October 28, 1940, when Greek leader Ioannis Metaxas rejected Mussolini's ultimatum, propeling Greece into World War II.
