Turkey condemns US deportation of diplomat’s murderer
Turkey on Oct. 30 condemned the U.S. extradition of Hampig Sassounian, an Armenian origin who assassinated a Turkish diplomat in Los Angeles in 1982.
Turkey learned that Sassounian was "deported to a third country," said a statement by the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
US governor denies parole for Turkish diplomat’s killer
California Governor Gavin Newsom has denied a parole request by Hampig Sassounian, an Armenian who assassinated a Turkish diplomat in Los Angeles in 1982.
The announcement came on May 25 with Newsom reversing the Board of Parole Hearings' decision which found Sassounian suitable for parole.
Former French minister Patrick Devedjian dies from COVID-19
Patrick Devedjian, a former French government minister and a lawyer of the ASALA terrorist organization, has died from COVID-19.
Devedjian on March 26 announced that he was diagnosed with the novel coronavirus.
He said that he'd been affected by the epidemic and was able to testify to the exceptional work of the medical staff.
Turkey remembers diplomat killed in Beirut in 1976
Turkey on Feb. 16 commemorated diplomat Oktar Cirit, who was assassinated on Feb. 16, 1976 in Lebanon's capital Beirut.
Cirit, Turkey's first secretary at the Turkish Embassy in Beirut, was killed by the Armenian terrorist organization ASALA, the Turkish Foreign Ministry noted in a Twitter post.

Turkey remembers diplomat killed in US in 1982
Turkey remembered with respect its late distinguished diplomat Kemal Arıkan, who was the victim of an assassination on Jan. 28, 1982.
Arıkan, Turkey's consul general in Los Angeles, was killed by Armenian terrorists affiliated with JCAG, Turkey's Foreign Ministry said on Twitter.

Ankara welcomes Australia's move on killed diplomats
Turkey welcomed on Dec. 18 a move by Australia to reopen an investigation into the 1980 murder of two Turkish diplomats by an Armenian terrorist cell.
"This decision, giving hope, even though late, that justice will be ensured may reduce the pain of the relatives of the Turkish martyrs to some extent," the country's Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Turkey honors diplomats killed in Sydney
Turkey on Dec. 17 commemorated two of its diplomats who were assassinated by an Armenian terrorist group in 1980 in Australia.
"We remember with respect our martyrs Şarık Arıyak, Consul General, and Engin Sever, Security Attaché, assassinated by the JCAG terrorist organization in Sydney on 17.12.1980," the Turkish Foreign Ministry said on Twitter.

Turkey condemns US court's parole for murderer of envoy
The Turkish Foreign Ministry has condemned the parole of a convict in the U.S who murdered a Turkish diplomat in the 1980s.
A court in Los Angeles accepted on Dec. 14 a defense attorney's demand for the conditional release of the Armenian-origin convict, Hampig Sassounian, who killed Turkish Consul General Kemal Arikan in Los Angeles on Jan. 28, 1982.
