Villager Ümmiye Koçak, who founded the Arslanköy Women's Theater Group in the southern province of Mersin and appeared in an ad with the Real Madrid and Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo, now is seeking to draw attention to climate change with a new play she is working on with an eight-person team.

Long before she came to Madrid, Mersin villager Ümmiye Koçak had already made herself famous thanks to her theatrical exploits and cinematic talent. Since directing and appearing in an ad with arguably one of the most recognized people on the planet - Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo - Koçak has been experiencing a new degree of stardom.

It's a long way from Arslanköy, a village in the southern province of Mersin, to Madrid, but one village woman has made the journey - to appear no less in a commercial with four-time world men's footballer of the year Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ümmiye Koçak, the founder of the Arslanköy Women's Theater Group in the Arslanköy village in the southern Turkish province of Mersin, wants to shoot a follow-up to her first film "Yün Bebek" (Wool Doll).
