Asenovgrad

An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 on the Richter scale struck last night between Asenovgrad and Plovdiv. The tremor, registered at 20:24, had its epicenter 3 km northwest of Asenovgrad and 15 km southeast of Plovdiv, at a depth of 12.5 km, as reported by the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography at the Bulgarian Academy of Science.

The partial state of emergency in the village remains

The dead body of a man was found this morning near Asenovgrad, police source confirmed to Nova TV.

A 63-year-old man came across the body this morning while walking in the area above the Asenovgrad district of Gorni Voden and immediately alerted 112.

Currently, an investigative group from the Regional Police Directorate - Asenovgrad has been sent to the scene.

They opened the renovated building of the railway station in Plovdiv, which is a cultural and historical monument.

The renovation of the building has been done through a public-private partnership.

A new earthquake of 3,8 on the Richter scale was registered near Asenovgrad about 1 o'clock last night.

The earthquake has an epicenter of about 3 km. from Asenovgrad. We recall that an earthquake of magnitude 4.6 to 2 km from Asenovgrad was registered yesterday. It was felt strongly both in Plovdiv and on the high floors in Sofia.

A 4.8 earthquake on the Richter scale was felt in  Plovdiv and Asenovgrad, the correspondent of BGNES reported. The epicenter of the earthquake is 2 km north-east of Asenovgrad, 17 km southeast of Plovdiv with a depth of 10 km.

Some citizens who are closer to the epicenter in Asenovgrad and the surrounding area report that they have experienced intense and prolonged shaking.

Expansion of the video surveillance system is being implemented in stages, announced by the municipal management of Asenovgrad during a special press conference, reports actualno. 

The city authorities have acknowledged that problems with the regime of reconciliation and synchronization of the common system with the area, as well as with the maintenance of the equipment.

A new protest is being prepared in Asenovgrad tonight. It was announced by the initiative committee on Thursday, Bgnes reported.
