Number of paid employees climb to 15.9 million in July
The number of paid employees in Türkiye's industry, trade and services, construction sectors increased by 3.4 percent in July from a year ago to reach an all-time high of 15.89 million, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) on Sept. 16.
Automotive supply sector’s exports reach $7.2 billion
Türkiye exported $7.2 billion worth of automotive supply industry products in the first half of the year, up 1.1 percent compared to the same period last year.
Subsidiary industry products accounted for 40.9 percent of total automotive exports with $17.7 billion in the first six months of this year.
Number of paid employees rises 4.6 percent in April
The number of paid employees in the industry, construction and trade-services sectors increased by 4.6 percent annually in April to 15.3 million, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK).
Cypriot GDP seen at 2.9% this year
Growth in Cyprus will be at 2.9% in 2024, according to the April projections published on the website of the republic's Ministry of Finance.
For the years 2025-2027, GDP is expected to grow further by 3.1%, 3.2% and 3.3% respectively.

Industrial production rises more than 11 percent
The annual increase in industrial production picked up sharply from 1.3 percent in January to 11.5 percent in February, data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) have shown.
In the same month of last year, the country's industrial output slumped 8.8 percent year-on-year.
