Keeper Tsintotas gives AEK fans the season's best save

AEK's reserve keeper Panagiotis Tsintotas produced arguably the save of the season on Wednesday to safeguard all three points for his team in the game with Asteras Tripolis, just five minutes after coming on as a substitute. AEK remains 10 points behind Super League leaders Olympiakos and PAOK which scored easy wins.

PAOK and AEK to meet in the Greek Cup final, again

PAOK and AEK will contest the Greek Cup final for the third year in a row as on Thursday they confirmed their supremacy over Asteras Tripolis and Lamia respectively to advance to the trophy game.

Asteras tried to overturn in Tripoli the 2-0 deficit from the first leg in Thessaloniki, and even had a good goal scored that the referee incorrectly disallowed for a foul.

Clear advantage for PAOK and AEK in Cup semis

PAOK and AEK look set to renew their date in another Greek Cup final, the third in a row for the pair, as they have taken a clear advantage from their home games for the semiifnals of this year's tournament.

On Wednesday they both won 2-0, PAOK downing Asteras Tripolis in Thessaloniki and AEK defeating Lamia in Athens.

On the day of one of the most forgettable Derbies of the Eternal Rivals between Olympiakos and Panathinaikos that ended in a draw, Asteras Tripolis stole the show in the Super League beating PAOK in what was arguably the season's best match.

AEK beat Panionios 1-0 on Sunday through a Marko Livaja goal and is on 54 points with six games left to play, the next one being at PAOK.

AEK two points clear at the top of the Super League

AEK is alone on top of the Super League table after beating Lamia on Sunday, while Olympiakos narrowly escaped a home loss to Asteras Tripolis. The weekend produced just six goals in seven games, with four of the goals coming from the penalty spot as Greek fans were treated to a diet of very poor soccer.

Cup wins for Asteras, PAOK, Panathinaikos

Panathinaikos, PAOK and Asteras Tripolis braved the cold conditions in midweek and made huge inroads toward making the quarterfinals of the Greek Cup.

On Tuesday Asteras Tripolis won 2-0 at second-division Trikala, goals coming from Nikos Kaltsas and Yiannis Kotsiras, reducing the second leg at Tripoli to a mere formality.
