Atatürk Museum

"Atatürk Museum Room" in the Pera Palace Hotel, one of the most significant cultural heritages of Istanbul as the first European-standard hotel in Türkiye, will start welcoming visitors starting from Aug. 1.

Thousands of Turkish citizens have descended on Thessaloniki to mark the anniversary of the death of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey, who died on 10 November 1938.

From the early hours, tourists queued up outside the house where Ataturk was born around 1881 which is now museum.

Many held Turkish flags.

The Turkish Consulate building and the Atatürk House in Thessaloniki, Greece, were attacked by a group of demonstrators on Oct. 17.
Police in northern Greece have detained 12 people who evaded security and staged an unlawful protest against Turkey's op in Syria at the birthplace of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, founder of modern Turkey.
