Criminal investigation launched after near-collision between Greek trains

A criminal investigation has been ordered following a near collision between two commuter trains between Athens and Agioi Anargyroi stations on Friday morning. 

The Acharnes station manager mistakenly ordered train 1307 to take a single track already occupied by train 1210, risking a head-on collision. 

GEK Terna signs €3.3 bln lease for Athens toll highway, sources say

GEK Terna has signed a 3.3 billion euro deal for the lease of a toll highway in Athens, two sources with knowledge of the matter have told Reuters.

According to reports, the incident happened at around 11.00 am when the 39-year-old was moving on foot on Lycabettus Street.

Then he was approached by two people who, without saying anything, shot him in the leg and grabbed a bag of valuables he had on his shoulder.
